Jack Hargis
Jack Hargis, a veteran of World War II, graduated from Auburn University in 1951 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. With more than four decades of experience as an investment advisor and portfolio manager, Jack Hargis began his career as an independent Registered Investment Advisor in 1964. He became a partner at Cowen &Co in 1983, and was affiliated with Smith Barney from July 1993, through February, 1998; with First Union Securities from February 1998, through June, 2002: and with Wachovia Securities from June; 2002 through February 2003. Mr. Hargis serves as a Portfolio Manager for the Hargis Capital Program, and is responsible for the final investment decisions in a client’s account. His analysis of securities includes a variety of methods including fundamental, technical, and cyclical analysis. Mr. Hargis may also review research from third parties and research conducted by the HCM employees. In February 2003, Mr. Hargis formed Hargis Capital Management, Inc.
